English term or phrase:independently
hello! I have doubts about my interpretation of "independenlty" in this context:
"That night, the vice president and the China country manager met independently with the intermediary"
Does it mean that the vicepresident and the China country manager both met with the intermediary but in two different moments? Or does it mean that they met all three together, and independently just underlines the fact that they decided to meet outside the organization?
