this is connected to my previous question (see this question for more context)

"Place and lock the spinner/torque assembly in the (+) position. Units without spinners will nor
have a spinner/torque assembly."

"Place and lock the spinner/torque assembly in the (-) position if the unit is so equipped."

("+" position: the machine pushes the rods out of the exit pit,"-" position: the machine pulls the rod back out of the entry pit)
