Explanation:
Well, Elena, it depends a bit on what TYPE of connector this is --- could it be an ELECTRICAL connector (some kind of socket)? This would make sense in terms of 'connector, socket' = female connector.
In this case, the 3.8 mm might be referring to the spacing of the pins (or sockets, here!) --- that would = 0.15", which is quite a common pitch used in electronics.

In which case, I would guess that the 7-POS means 7 positions --- i.e. pins (sockets) --- again, an odd way to express it, we would more usually say a '7-way OR a 7-pin connector'.

In your blinds application, 7 ways would be logical, in terms of the number of wires need for things like up/down control, end limit stops etc. And if it is designed right, a 7-way connector might be asymmetrical, and hence, non-reversible --- quite important in some applications!
