Does it mean that if Name 2 infringes any copyright, patent and other industrial property rights BELONGING to Name 1, Name 1 will not be liable for it? It doesn't make much sense to me!

The 2 Names are obviously working together on the basis of some agreement, under which Name 2 agrees that Name 1 can perform certain actions that may infringe its rights (ie. those of name 2), but for which it (Name 1)will not be liable in these circumstances.
