hold sustainer block longer
Explanation:
A block is when an offensive player shields, hits or otherwise physically moves a defensive player in order to keep him from making a play or tackle on a ball carrier. A sustainer block or sustained block is a block that lasts more than just a fraction of a second as most blocks usually do. If a coach tells a player to hit the sustainer blocks he's simply asking his blockers to hold their blocks longer than they normally would.
