English to Afrikaans translations [PRO]
Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting / Creative Design | | English term or phrase: lacquer thinner print | This term occurs in a textbook for Grade 12 learners on fundamentals of design. The first chapter discusses various ideation and visualisation techniques, as well as a step-by-step overview of the design process. The context for the above term is as follows:
3) Do not fall into the habit of merely cutting things out and gluing them into your composition- anyone can do that. As a design student so much more is expected of you! Why not change their appearance by manipulating them on the computer, painting, drawing or scratching into them, cutting or folding them or doing a lacquer thinner print of them.
I suspect the term has something to do with silkscreening or a similar process.
At the moment I am considering "lakafdruk", but this seems to fall short of the full meaning.
I would greatly appreciate your urgent attention to this, the project is on a short timetable, with a deadline set for tomorrow at 5 PM.
