English to Afrikaans translations [PRO] Science - Cooking / Culinary | | English term or phrase: heavy cream | I'm translating a recipe that calls for 'heavy cream'. See here for its meaning:
http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-heavy-cream.htm
The question is: what would this be called in South Africa, in Afrikaans (or in English). Do the terms "dubbelroom" or "hoëvet-room" work for you?
