Explanation:
Ek het 'n tannie gehad wat altyd gepraat het van 'bloubessies', maar ek's nie 100% seker of dit regtig die regte vertaling is nie.

If I read the wikipedia document below, it seems that the fruit commonly called 'blueberry', and used in recipes etc are basically the same as the Afrikaans BLOUBESSIE, which, although also a common name, seems to be the same thing as imported from the States.

I don't think that yolandi is asking because she's translating a biological document.. but it seems the common one is called Vaccinium Cyanococcus.
