agree  xxxEnea: "Tungjatjeta" ose "përshëndetje" (falenderoj Eva T)! "Tung" përdoret në Kosovë, jo në të gjitha trevat shqiptare, p.sh. në Tiranë thuhet "ça bon".

neutral  Gjerald: maybe I have been away too long from albania, however "tung" does not resemble a greeting. In the southern parts of Albania, "c'fare ben" or "C'kemi" are the most common forms of casual greeting. the more formal greeting is "Tungjatjeta".

disagree  Gentiana Kasemi: It is used sometimes, but is absolutely incorrect; it is just a distortion of Tungjatjeta

hello
hello = njatjeta

Explanation:
There is another shortened version of "Tungjatjeta" which is widely used in Albania: "Njatjeta". I prefer this to "Tung" because it still contains the original message "T'u ngjatte/zgjatte jeta" (May your life be long)
