Explanation:
هو قانون الإنتاج الكبير الذي يسمح بالتخصص وبتخفيض الكلفة. ويسمى هذا القانون في علم الاقتصاد اقتصاديات الحجم Economies of Scale. على سبيل المثال، مصنع السيارات يجب أن ينتج سنوياً مئة وخمسين ألف إلى مائتي ألف سيارة لكل يصل للحد الأدنى لكلفة السيارة الواحدة. فلو أنتج أقل من ذلك، فإن الكلفة ستكون أعلى، وبالتالي يصبح من الأجدى أن يتم استيراد السيارة بدلاً من انتاجها محلياً. فلو كان السوق صغيراً، لا يمكن الوصول لاقتصاديات الحجم.
مثال:

many small developing countries lack the resources to build their own information infrastructure , e- commerce facilities and / or benefit from economies of scale .
- إن العديد من البلدان النامية الصغيرة تفتقر الى الموارد اللازمة لاقامة البنى التحتية للمعلوماتية , ومرافق التجارة الالكترونية والافادة من اقتصادات الحجم .
