The Bottom Line:

الحسابات، ميزان الربح والخسارة
Explanation:
"The bottom line" is a figurative expression used in reference to the hard, quantifiable aspects of a company's performance.

It originally referred to the "bottom line" in a balance sheet, which typicaly shows the final quantified amount of profit or loss (in black or red, accordingly).

Over time, it came to refer to anything related to profitability. For instance, a manager may say to the board of directors, "in my department, we are paying greater attention to customer satisfaction, because we think it affects our bottom line." That means it affects the ultimate profit figures that our share holders care about. In other words, it affects our financial performance.

It is now commonly used even in non-business contexts, meaning "the outcome of analysis" or "conclusion." For example, a politician may say, "the bottom line is that if the senator is nominated, he will win."

It would be a mistake to imagine that you should translate this one expression in one way only. How you render it in Arabic will depend on how it is used. For instance, if it is used as a title of a section in a propectus where a company's performance figures are laid out, then you may want to name that section:

أداء الشركة

or think of something to that effect.

On the other hand, if it occurs in a sentence where someone says something like "the demographic changes have affected our bottom line," you may want to use an expression like

أرباحنا، ميزان أرباحنا، ميزان الربح والخسارة

On the other hand, if it is in a non-business expression, then the proper translation may be

خلاصة الأمر، زبدة الموضوع، المختصر المفيد

الخ
