نعلم جميعاً الترجمة الحرفية للفعل
set ablaze
ولو ترجمنا الفعل حرفياً في السياق الذي نحن بصدده، أصبنا القاريء بصدمة لا تناسب معنى السياق الاحتفالي
فما رأيكم لو خرجنا من ربقة المعنى الحرفي للفعل
وأضفنا إليه نوعاً من التعديل الذي يلائم النص ولا يؤثر سلباً في الفكرة التي يريد الكاتب نقلها ألا وهي فكرة الاحتفال الذي يصحبه ألعاب نارية تخيِّل للناظرين أن المبنى كتلة من النار
فلنقل مثلا
تتمايل ألسنة النار فوق واحدة من ......إلخ
تتراقص ألسنة النار من فوق إحدى ..........إلخ
وأنا حقيقة لا يروقني ذكر كلمة "لهب" بأي حال من الأحوال في سياق كهذا إذ أنها كلمة ذات رنين حاد أو قاسِ في السياق الاحتفالي المشار إليه
وهذا لا يتعدى كونه رأي شخصي
