English term or phrase: Forcola
"Forcola" is an italian word, but here is an explanation of what a "forcola" is:

Forcola (plural forcole) is the rowlock or oarpost used in traditional Venetian boats, the most well-known type of boat being the gondola. Forcole are unlike any other type of rowlock because of the unique rowing position of the oarsman: he stands facing forward and, in craft like the gondola, propels and manouevres the boat with a single oar.

And here is a picture of a "forcola":

الفوركولا (مسند مجداف الجندول)
Explanation:
If the Italian word is used in an English document, then I suggest using the same Italian word in your Arabic translation, adding an explanation between brackets: مسند مجداف الجندول/ الغندول
(Al-Mawrid: oarlock: مسند المجداف)

Explanation:
Whenever an object is as specific as what you describe in usage, style, provenance, or cultural evocation, it makes perfect sense to use the same name it is given in its native language. Witness, for instance, how we name the Russain samovar, the Spanish flamenco, the Lebanese tabboula, etc.

Thank you for the added note. Since that is the point of your question, it would have been nice to have it at the outset, so we would not bore you with informatin you already know.

Al-Mawrid suggests two expressions for the generic rowlock:

مسند المجداف
بيت المجداف

I find both inadequate, and would suggest:

مرتكز المجداف
محبس المجداف
