لا تَنقَطعُوا عَـنّا Explanation: Pronounced: LA TANQATI"OO "ANNA. This is a double-negative rendition, closer to "Don't lose touch with us." Another possibility is "ASA AN LA TANQATI"OO "ANNA. عَسَى أن لا تَنقَطعُوا عَنّا Fuad -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-01-02 04:41:57 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- I just thought of a couple of more renditions that are more direct than the above suggestions, which, as I explained earlier, were in a double negative form: 1. SILNI BILA INQITA\" صِلني بلا انقطاع 2. WASILNI BI WASLIK واصِلني بوَصلِك -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-01-02 04:44:02 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Another rendition that I like is: LA TAHRIMNI MIN WASLIK لا تَحرمني من وَصلِك -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-01-02 04:49:30 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- If the letter is addressed to a female friend, then the above expressions would be as follows: LA TANQATI\"EE \"ANNEE \"ASA AN LA TANQATI\"EE \"ANNEE SILEENEE BILA INQITA\" WASILEENEE BIWASLIKI -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-01-02 04:51:21 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- The last suggestion, addressed to a female, would be: LA TAHRIMEENEE MIN WASLIKI. |
