ويقول اخصائيو طلاء السيارات إن طلاء السيارة الجديدة يكون حساسا للغاية ويتعين أن تولي عناية كبيرة خلال الشهور القلائل الاولى لاعطاء الطلاء الوقت الكافي حتى يثبت.
خبراء ألمان ينصحون بتغطية الطلاء بطبقة من الشمع باستخدام قطعة من الاسفنج حفاظا عليه من الخدوش
وينصح في الشهور الاولى بحماية الطلاء بتغطيته بطبقة من الشمع باستخدام قطعة من الاسفنج لوضع هذا الشمع وإزالة أي زوائد بقطعة قماش ناعمة. ويقول البريخت أنه لا ينصح باستخدام القطن لانه يترك بقايا نسيجية تصعب إزالتها.

يقول بيتر انهالت من شركة انهالت وهي بيت تكنولوجي للطلاء إن السيارات القديمة أيضا يتعين تغطيتها بطبقة من الشمع بين الحين والاخر.

ويتابع "إن طبقة الشمع تحمي الطلاء من المؤثرات البيئية. ويتعين توخي الحذر أثناء عملية غسيل السيارة وعدم استخدام مسحوق للغسيل يزيل طبقة الشمع".
