نسمع كثيرا هذه الأيام عن المسؤولية الاجتماعية للشركات Corporate Social Responsibility. هذا المصطلح حديث النشأة ولم يدخل حيز الاستخدام إلا في أواخر الستينيات وأوائل السبعينيات من القرن الماضي. لهذا المصطلح عدة مرادفات مثل مواطنة الشركات Corporate Citizenship والأعمال التجارية المسؤولة المستدامةSustainable Responsible Business.
