| English term or phrase: SIPC | | I wish the papers would report the full story about what is happening here. There are 28,000 victims, SIPC will only pay out approximately 7,000 victims. I would be the first to say I am happy for the fortunate few but – and it’s a BIG BUT – SIPC do not GIVE the money out, they pay it as a loan and then go back to the assets of the Defendant (Allen Stanford) to recoup what they have paid out. SIPC are targeting the money Ralph Janvey has collect, as well as the assets held by the receivers in Antigua, and money that is in Switzerland and the UK. SIPC is going to pay mostly American victims at the expense of the International victims who are about to lose any chance of ever seeing anything from this whole disastrous mess. Why should 20,000+ International victims pay for 7,000 Americans to get their money back? If SIPC are going to go after all the Stanford assets then SIPC should be paying ALL the Stanford victims. |
