Explanation:
Plain text in the context of "notepad" is text without formatting. Hence the translation. Please note that in the context of ciphering plain text would be نص واضح as opposed to نص مشفر but I don't think this is your context.
Interestingly, Microsoft uses "Plain Text" without translation in Arabic documents. :-) Please see the web reference
