English to Arabic translations [PRO]
Computers: Systems, Networks
English term or phrase: workstations
In digital libraries, computers were busy and there were more students at the work stations.
(I think workstation is used here in this sense: an area where a single person works) but I need help with an Arabic equivalent.

وحدة أو وحدات العمل
Explanation:
I have used that in very similar context before, several times, I had a problem with the usual used translation, so I used وحدة أو وحدات العمل , as it fulfills the nature & description of these workstations, just as you described it!

Thanks!

محطة العمل

Explanation:
A workstation is a type of computer and the context suggests it is. It is known as a محطة عمل in Arabic.

You are welcome on behalf of myself and the agreeing colleagues I suppose. Although I am still supportive of my answer (which is the the commonly used term in the field), I still think there is room for creativity when the generally used term does not really give a taste of the reality of the thing carrying the name being translated.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for you all

Asker: Though I may be seeming discourteous by now, believe it or not... I posted the next comment but the connection went off: "thank you.. I know there is nothing wrong with محطة عمل it may even be more accurate but my context is somewhat social rather than technical so I thought better explanation with less accuracy will do.
