  -> You are right. I have already translated it as "state-of-the-art".
agree  Amira El-Sayed: Sorry, I mean it's taken from German, as the equivalent term in German is "Stand der Technik" which means "state-of-the-art".

  -> Thanks for your input. Even in German, it is widely used as "state-of-the-art". "Stand der Art" is just a literal translation.
