English term or phrase: garden salad
"Lightly battered fillets of fish served with fresh garden salad, chips and tartare sauce."
what would be the best way to translate this; I can't just say سلاطة طازجة because in other places I have 'fresh salad'.
Thanks

Explanation:
Menu writers can be amazingly limited. Every salad ultimately comes from a garden of some sort, and every item on the menu is supposed to consist of fresh ingredients, so "garden salad" and "fresh salad" hardly signify anything special.

Restaurants (at least here in Sugar Land) offer basically two categories of salads:

- a category that features a certain ingredient (a tomato salad features tomato slices in oil, a caesar salad features romaine salad in the distinctive caesar dressing, a Waldorf salad features apples, celery, and walnuts, etc.).

- a "garden variety" category, variously calld "house salad," "garden salad," etc., that features any combination of the standard ingredients that one typically finds in one's own refrigerator any day of the week or in one's own backyard garden: lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, green onions, carrots, celery, bell peppers, parsely, etc. I suspect this is what they mean, but I can't figure out how they distinguish it from a "fresh salad."

سلطة خضراء طازجة

Explanation:
I think it means that all ingredients of this salad mostly are vegetables. We call it here in Egypt سلطة خضراء
Hope it's useful.
Thanks all.

neutral  Zeinab Asfour: I think your talking about green salad, which differs from garden salad.
