I can see some colleagues disagree with my answer and I do not have any problem with that. I am not Mr. Perfect and I can be wrong. However, I would like to reply to Mr. Ali Alawadi, whom I really respect, as I do not think I am totally wrong .. maybe only partially:)

We have two points which can be argued:

1. the word "hold": I think it can mean"يحتجز" or "يتهم، يعتبر" depending on the whole context. I chose "يحتجز" and it can be wrong.

2. the word "contempt [of court]": contempt of court can have several forms, one of which is the obstruction of the administration of justice. So "عرقلة سير العدالة" is just a form of "ازدراء المحكمة", and my choice was based on the fact that this is really the case as explained in the same sentence.

I quote this from the referene below:

"The essence of contempt of court is that the misconduct impairs the fair and efficient administration of justice."

agree  Ali Al awadi: Actually I do not see why the asker chose the inaccurate answer.... The meaning is clear "تهمة ازدراء المحكمة"

neutral  Mohamed Ghazal: Guys, relax, Fayez, there are never right or wrong answers and the asker can choose any answer they see better for their context. Abdul's answer might not be the one that you'd choose, but that doesn't make it wrong. And Ali, it is not even a charge.

Explanation:
