n finance, a high-yield bond (non-investment grade bond or junk bond) is a bond that is rated below investment grade on its date of issuance. These bonds have a higher risk of defaulting, but typically pay high yields in order to make them attractive to investors.

تصنيف السندات
- ما هو المقصود بتصنيف السندات ؟
يعكس التصنيف الائتمانى رأى جهة معينه متخصصه يطلق عليها وكالة تصنيف فى احتمال التزام الشركة او المؤسسة المصدره للسند بدفع الفوائد ورد اصل قيمة الاصدار فى نهاية فتره الاستحقاق ولايعتبر التصنيف ضمانا بأى حال من الاحوال ، بل هو احد المؤشرات الارشاديه العديده التى يستخدمها المستثمرون لتحديد المخاطر النسبية لمختلف الاصدارات من السندات . ومن ثم العائد الذى يطلبونه. وكما هو الحال بالنسبة للادوات المالية الاخرى كلما زادت المخاطر زادت المكافأة المتوقعة وبالنسبة للسندات كلما زادت المخاطر ارتفعت معدلات الفائدة .
وتتولى تصنيف سندات الشركات فى مصر الوكالات المحلية التى ترخص لها هيئة سوق المال بمزاولة نشاط تصنيف الجداره الائتمانية. كما تقوم به الوكالات الدوليه التى يعتمدها مجلس ادارة الهيئة .

وهناك نوعان من التصنيف – محلى ودولى – لايمكن المقارنه بينهما. فأى اصدار من السندات يباع فى الاسواق العالمية يحصل على تصنيف دولى يمكن مقارنته بمثيله من الاصدارات حول العالم. وعلى نفس المنوال يتم تصنيف السندات السياديه التى تصدرها حكومات الدوله المختلفه. ومن بينها مصر التى قامت باصدار سنــدات سياديه مؤخرا. اما على الصعيد الداخلى فان السندات تحصل على تصنيف محلى يتم مقارنته مع السندات المماثله فى نفس البلد. وتعتبر وكالتا ستاندرد آند بورز، وموديز هما اهم وكالتين للتصنيف الائتمانى على المستوى العالمى .

وتقوم كل منهما بوضع مستويات للتصنيف على النحو التالى:
موديز ستاندرد وبورز التفسير
سندات ممتازه جدا مخاطرها متدنية جدا
سندات عالية الجوده ايضا الا ان مخاطرها طويلة الاجل
عالية الى متوسطة الجوده ذات سمات قوية ولكنها عرضه للتأثر بالتغيرات فى الاحوال الاقتصادية
متوسطة الجوده ، جيده حاليا ولكن يحتمل ان تكون عرضه للتذبذب على المدى الطويل

لأنه يتم تقييمها استثماريا بدرجة منخفضة ورغم أنها قد تدر عائداً عالياً في بعض الأحيان فالاستثمار فيها غير مضمون وترتفع تكاليف التمويل بالنسبة لدرجات التقييم المنخفضة وفي حال هبوط الدرجات تتحول إصدارات الشركات تبعاً لهذا التقييم إلى

Junk Bonds:
The two major credit rating services rate bonds as to their credit worthiness. Bonds that are rated at or above "Baa" by Moody, or "BBB" by S&P are said to be investment grade bonds. Bonds rated lower than these ratings are said to be high yield (junk) bonds.
These are the lowest quality bonds. Since they are riskier, they yield more. Other, more flattering names for them are "high yield" or "non-investment-grade" bonds
