Dear all, thanks for your input. It was really helpful. أملاك مشاع if it refers to a group of people only can be used. شائعة is not really a term that can be used as it is automatically translated into rumour (at least in Egypt), and can cause a lot of confusion. In conclusion, for myself, I still prefer ملكية جماعية as it is clear and could be easily distinguished from ملكية عامة. I will close this session here without choosing one answer, leaving that to the preference of every translator and to the dialect used in each Arab country. Thanks again for all who joined me in this discussion. It was really challenging.
