Explanation:
I know that the term "certificate" doesn't exist here, but the word شهادة is the one usually used in Arabic schools to indicate "progress review".

Note that"progress review" stands for the marks students get for their work along the semester ... I believe it works perfectly here.

Um ... unless we're talking about teacher's reports!! Some schools would submit monthly, mid year and final progress reviews that explain the students' progression in terms of behaviour, manner, activity, etc ... these ones are usually written in text not in grades. I would still go for شهادة, but I wouldn't also mind "التقييم نصف السنوي" as suggested by Ali :)
