Education / Pedagogy | | English term or phrase: whether in the university, college, department or faculty, | In the UK we have universities, and sometimes in the universities (especially in the universities in London UCL), there are smaller universities, like colleges but for university level. Within them there are faculties, such as languages and culture. Then within the faculties there are departments, which might be, say, Chinese, or anthropology or whatever. So there are many distinctions, whereas in Arabic there is جامعة and then كلية is faculty and قسم is department. So if كلية is already used for a small university, then how do we get the distinction between faculties and departments.
