What is the translation of "area of emphasis", and is it one of these: (مادة دراسية، مادة تخصص، تخصص)?

تأتي لاحقًا عادة بعد إكمال المجالات الأساسية والفرعية وفيها يتخصص الطالب بأحد موضوعات المجالات الأساسية أو الفرعية

Are they interchangeable? That is, can one think of a certain specialization within a certain area of study, or a certain area of study within a certain specialization, both ways?

Would it then be suitable to differentiate between them with something like (التخصص، مجال التخصص) and (التخصص الدقيق)? If so, which would be which?

Maybe they have a specialization within the area of emphasis.

The responsibility for the professional progression of the
students is unclear in the new Teacher Education Program.
From a student perspective it is hard to perceive their
development and progression. The students perceive that
they do not get enough response from the teachers. The
three parts: general field, area of emphasis and specialization
are perceived by the students as separate areas and not
always integrated

This is how I understand it. I graduated in Mass Com, with emphasis on Journalism. Journalism is my specialization.

Thank you very much. Do I understand correctly that تخصص or مجال التخصص is synonymous with "specialization"?
