If the function of the switch is to activate a circuit or start an operation, then it is essentially 'a mercury switch' i.e. an operation switch which uses mercury as an activator, the tilting of the device seems to act as the spark. I think we can summarize the whole operation saying, "مفتـاح تشغيـل زئبقي" بمعنى أنه مفتاح تشغيل يحتوي على عنصر الزئبق، لأن قضية الإمالة ليست مرتبطة بالمفتاح مباشرة، و لكنها تساعد في تشغيـل الدائرة الكهربائية كما يبدو من شرح السائل.
