Explanation:
الكركديه نبات عشبي حولي يتميز بقلة تفرعه ونموه الرأسي، ويصل ارتفاعه إلى حوالي مترين، وتمثل السبلات التي تحيط بالزهرة الجزء المستعمل من هذا النبات وذلك بعد تجفيفها سواء كانت حمراء داكنة أو فاتحة

ويعرف الكركدية بعدة اسماء مثل: الجوكرات، الغجر، القرقديب، الكركديب، الحماض الأحمر، ويعرف الكركديه علميا باسم
HIBISCUS SUBDARIFIA OR
ROSELLE
وهو من الفصيلة الخبازية

وتحتوي سبلات الكركديه على جلوكوسيدات، بالإضافة إلى مواد ملونة وأملاح أكسالات الكاليسوم وفيتامين(ج) ويتلون الكركديه باللون الأحمر الداكن في الوسط الحمضي بسبب وجود مركبات بيتاسيانينية كما يحتوي على مواد هلامية

وعرف الكركديه من قبل الفراعنة واستعملوا ازهاره في بعض الوصفات العلاجية كشراب مسكن لآلام الرأس وكطارد للديدان، وفي نهاية القرن التاسع عشر بات نبات الكركديه مصدرا رئيسيا من المصادر الطبيعية لإنتاج الألياف النباتية اللازمة لصناعة الحبال والورق والسليليوز النقي

كلمة كركدية ليست عربية الأصل وإنما هي ألمانية الأصل

ودرج العرب لاسيما في مصر والسودان على تسمية هذا النبات بنفس الاسم
الكركديه أو الكركرية

وتختلف تسمية هذا النبات من قطر عربي لآخر
فيسمى في منطقة الحجاز بـ
الكوجراتي ، الغُجر، الكُوجر، الكُجرات

كما يُسمى في بقاع عربية أخرى بـ الكركديب والقرقديب

ونظرا لتعدد الاسماء الدارجة لهذا النبات
يُفضل أن يُترجم بنفس المصطلح الإقليمي الذي يُطلق عليه

أي

إذا كان النص موجه لقراء من مصر والسودان، فالأفضل أن تكون الترجمة (كركدية)أي بنفس الكلمة التي يُعرف بها النبات هناك
وإذا كان النص لقراء من منطقة الحجاز، فمن الأفضل أن تترجم الاسم بـ
الغجر (بضم الغين) أو الكوجراتي أو الكجرات أو الكجر

أما بالنسبة للكلمة الفصحى
فقد بحثت عن الاسم
وقد وجدت أنه يسمى باسم عام هو الخبازي
على أساس أنه أحد النباتات الخبازية

لكن ليس هناك اسم معين ومحدد يطلق على هذا النبات في الفصحى
