Explanation:
The French mining companies at the turn of the century were known by the name of the town in which they were operating (mines de fer de Miliana etc). Not sure if Larrath refers to a name of a person or town in Algeria at the time.

I found that Larath (note: single r) referred to the town that is currently known as Gouraya (Wilaya - province - of Tipaza, 70 Kms west of Algiers).

See the place of birth of this Algerian who was awared the French legion d'honneur: (name: El-hadj-braham Ben-bel-kassem, born in Larath (municipality of Gouraya):

I would personally keep the name Larrath, so just translate it as is.
