Hydrogeological setting:
The Jilh formation is exposed at Jilh alÕIshar (latitude 24° 400 N and longitude 45° 200 E), with a low escarpment across which the type section was measured (Fig. 1a). The Jilh type section was described on a nearly straight line traverse from a latitude of 24° 0304800N and a longitude of 45° 460 E to a latitude of 24° 1100600 N and a longitudeof45°5103000 E.
I found that a type section in geology is "That sequence of strata identified as the original sequence for a location or area; the standard against which other stratigraphy of parts of the area are compared. Also known as section."
I also found it has other names
"What is a type section?
A type section, type locality or type area (stratotype) is an essential part of the definition of a lithostratigraphic unit."

I found one of its other names "type locality" in an E-A dictionary as "موقع النمط: مكان تواجد العينة النموذج"
I'm thinking I should either translate it "المنطقة النمطية," or "التعاقب الطبقي". |
