Explanation:
Sure we all agree that abrasiveness is a noun and the adjective is abrasive which means rude,unpleasant and harsh etc.
Such are the literal meanings in a dictionary.
But "abrasiveness" in this context is far away from "rudeness and harshness" ..so
I think a translation for "abrasiveness in this context can be

السفور /على نحو سافر
especially that the text is highly academic and sophisticated
