Explanation:
حرب الخليج الثانية و تسمى أيضا بحرب تحرير الكويت وعملية عاصفة الصحراء وسميت من قبل الحكومة العراقية بإسم أم المعارك، هي الحرب التي وقعت بين العراق وإئتلاف دولي من 30 دولة بقيادة الولايات المتحدة وبتشريع من الأمم المتحدة. بدأ الصراع بعد اجتياح الجيش العراقي لدولة الكويت في 2 أغسطس 1990 م وانتهت في فبراير 1991 م. تألفت الحرب من جزئين رئيسيين وهما حملة القصف الجوي على أهداف داخل العراق والتوغل الأرضي لقوات التحالف داخل الأراضي العراقية، وامتدت الحرب على مساحة جغرافية شملت أراضي العراق والكويت والسعودية وتم فيها إطلاق صواريخ أرض أرض سكود عراقية بعيدة المدى على أهداف داخل إسرائيل والسعودية.
