History
English term or phrase: reconquista/reconquest
Europe has much to thank Islam for. Spain flourished under the Omayyad dynasty from 755 to 1031, and until the fall of the last Islamic enclave, Granada, in 1492. Even so, shortly after the occupation, the “reconquista” begins – the attempt at reconquest by Christian forces. The struggle will last for centuries.

اســتعـاده الأرض

Explanation:
The Spanish were not the conquestador to begin with. This spanish term means "taking back" land. Example of that when the Mexican are trying to reconquest California. California used to be a mexican state when the American took it. So it makes a lot of sense that the Christians were trying to " take back" Spaain that had been conquered by Muslims. Good Luck

إعادة فتح

Explanation:
the term conquest is similar to the Arabic term فـتـح

فتح الأراضي
such as used in الفتوحات الإسلامية and فتوحات الاسكندر المقدوني
and such as in Caeser's motto: Veni, Vidi, Vici: I came, I saw, I conquered: أتيت، رأيت، فتحت in his expanded conquest of Europe
