English to Arabic translations [PRO]
Idioms / Maxims / Sayings | | English term or phrase: Cold-call | But I don't mean the investment term. I mean the regular definition:
A telephone call or visit made to someone who is not known or not expecting contact, often in order to sell something.
Case in point: The peeping tom who videotaped Erin Andrews from ESPN got arrested at last. They said he had cold-called top hotels to find out where she was staying. What would the correct Arabic word be here? Assuming of course there's a word or a term of two words, rather than a long definition.
