authentication can be translated into إقرار - تصديق - مصادقة
But with signature, as in this case, we use notarization which means توثيق أو تصديق

المقصود هنا توثيق التوقيع أن أن يقوم كاتب العدل مثلاً بتوثيق التوقيع أي الشهادة بصحة توقيع الشخص المعني
ونفس الشيء بالنسبة للتوقيع الرقمي، بمعنى أن التوقيع الإلكتروني سيكون موثقاً
أميل أكثر إلى توثيق بدلاً من تصديق حيث أنها أوقع في الاستخدام مع التوقيعات

Asker: أشكرك، ولكن مازلت لا أفهم كيف يتم توثيقها، هل المصطلح له علاقة بالشهر العقاري مثلا، وهل مصطلح"كاتب عدل" الذي صادفني كثيرا أثناء البحث مستخدما في مصر، وما علاقة كل هذه المصطلحات بالتوقيع الرقمي؟ أعتذر للإطالة
