We define the information audit as a tool that can be used to not only identify strategically significant information resources, but to also identify those tasks and activities that create knowledge and those that rely on the transfer of knowledge from other areas of the organization. | Grading comment شكرا لجميع من ساهم في الإجابة على هذا السؤال .. إلا أنه وللأسف كنت انتظر كلمة أخرى غير تدقيق، بالتأكيد كلمة تدقيق هي ترجمة أمينة للكلمةـ بيد أن القارئ للتعريف الخاص بها من حيث كونها عملية تقييم الوضع الراهن للمعلومات داخل المؤسسة، في مقابل الأهداف والخطط الموضوعة، أو توافقها مع السياسات المعايير والممارسات المقبولة. وأنها تهتم بالاحتياجات المعلوماتية للمؤسسة، والمعلومات التي تنشأ داخلها، وفجوات المعلومات الموجودة، واتجاهات تدفق المعلومات داخل المؤسسة. كل ما سبق لا تعبر عنه كلمة تدقيق بشكل واضح! فلو كان هناك كلمة أخرى أكثر تعبيرا لكان أفضل!
