I think it will be best if this sentence is approached as one unit. As you see, 3 of the suggestions are nowhere close to the meaning and the forth is a good translaiton but not giving the exact meaning. When in doubt, I usually rephrase the original text and then see what the first target word pops in my mind and take it from there. In this case, "First time home buyers are being forced / pushed out of the market because of the soaring prices". Since your doing journalistic translation, I would suggest the following:
"تَمَّ دَفْع مُشتري المنزل للمرة الأولى خارج السوق وذلك نتيجة ارتفاع أسعار الأراضي والذي بالتالي أدى إلى ارتفاع أسعار المنازل وجَعَلَها بعيدة عن المُتَنَاوَلْ" |
