muwaa'd al-defaa3 موائد الدفاع

Explanation:
Greetings... ahalan wa sahalan...

If the original expression appears in a document related to **US** Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases, the equivalent term for "articles" would be muwaa'd = materials, which generic term includes equipment, devices and additional aspects of what are called "deliverables."

Hence, "defense articles" would be "muwaa'd al-defaa3" = موائد الدفاع

Hope this helps. Khair, in shaa' Allah.

Greetings to all.

The second asker's good comment (below) is correct: I extend my apologies for my misplaced keystrokes in both languages. The connected hamza does not belong there.

I think some Arabic translations (produced during the late 1980s and mid-1990s] exist of a series of US Department of Defense regulations and procedural guides about Foreign Military Sales (FMS), regulation of arms traffic, and related transfers of defense technologies. I'll check my files for those interested.

Khair, in shaa' Allah.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Many thanks, Yes this expression appears in a document related to US Foreign Military Sales. Your help is highly appreciated.

Asker: But I think you mean مواد الدفاع NOT موائد الدفاع, aren't you?
