that I filed a frivolous application for asylum in ..........., asserting that my husband coerced me
into lying about certain matters that were written in my asylum claim by threatening to physically beat
me, evict from our home, throw me out into the street without a penny, refuse to financially support me,
threaten to take our children away from me, and other abuse if I did not agree to file a separate asylum
claim that mirrored the lies that ........... told in his asylum claim. Mr. ........... has asserted that, given
the culture that I came from, I had no free will or choice but to do as my husband ordered.

What would be the best translation for this word in the sentence to fit in the whole context?
