I would like to have a clear distinction between the following word:
1- Citizenship
2- Nationality
3-Naturalization

I translate Nationality as الجنسية, although it does not differ much from Citizenship. I think citizenship is the newer term. National or nationalism sounds bad in this world of today.

Naturalization التجنس is the proceeding whereby a foreigner is granted citizenship

Explanation:
Citizenship: الجنسية

Nationality: الأصل القومي

Naturalization: التجنس

In ordinary discourse, we do not make such a fussy distinction between citizenship and nationality, but if the nature of the text being translated revolves around this distinction, then we must split whatever hairs we encounter, even if the text reads less smoothly than otherwise.
