As far as I know, we can translate it as جمل عربي
or
جمل وحيد السنام

The reason I posted this question is, while I was reading the Arabic translation of the book " The road to Makkah", I found the translator translated it as
هجين
Is there any suggestion? why the translator chose that word for " dromedary"?

As I know, the word هجين normally refers to horses, particularly to crossbred horses.

Do you know if this word "هجين " is used among the native speakers of Arabic , in any Arab country, to refer to camel?
