This second meaning, it makes me try to avoid using "أعمال ترجمة " , but to stick to "أعمال مترجمة " which has only one meaning " translated works ( products of an author).
so it could mean
1. translated works ( works= products of a writer, which are translated into other languages)
2. translation work ( work as in " a lot of work to do", uncountable noun ) = translation tasks/or jobs/ or projects or business etc.

2. أعمال ترجميــــــة = translation work أعمال في الترجمة ( work= jobs, tasks etc )
translat"ION" works = أعمال as in jobs
translat"ED" works = أعمال as in documents, books, articles...that have been translated. This is a past participle
أعمال in Arabic gives both meanings, you can use it for both

No, activities has nothing to do with easy or difficult. Activities means نشاطات أو أعمال and we say in Arabic أعمال ترجمة not نشاطات ترجمة. Difficult = صعبة, easy = سهلة

just an additional discussion about "أعمال ترجمة "
if we just say أعمال ترجمة , it could have two meanings
1. translation works = translated works
2. translation activities. such as in أعمال ترجمة هي صعبة ليست سهلة
yes, I really want to stick to " translated works/ أعمال مترجمة " as a set phrase. However, I think I should take your advice to abandon my attempt to do so.
I don't think Arabic allows for a similarly concise solution (the prefix modifying an adjective or a participle), so I agree with Liliane's suggestion and explanations. You may have to abandon your attempt to stick to مترجمة - you could say أعمال مترجمة بواسطة أكثر من مترجم but of course that's too much of a mouthful
This is not the issue. In Arabic you either put أعمال ترجمة مشتركة (co-translated works) or أعمال ترجمها شخصان (works translated by 2 persons). You choose the appropriate one for your context.
أعمال means 1) activities 2) works i.e books, paints etc... The sentence you put is "co-translated works", co is related to the translation not to the works, consequently it is in Arabic أعمال (كتب، لوحات، مقالات، إلخ ما يعني اعمال)... ترجمة مشتركة. الشخصان ترجما العمل (الكتاب) ولم يؤلفاه. The 2 persons translated the book, they did not write it, so the cooperation was in the translation.
