A woman sent an e-mail to her date saying:
"Meet me down the garden path at the barn at 7"
That is supposed to be a romantic date. That's why, I think there is another meaning for the word "barn" than حظيرة !!!
What do you suggest the meaning could be here in that context?

Dear Mai, the usual meaning of the word may be used as long as nothing rules it out. The connotation of dating does not prevent using "barn" as meaning Hatheerah. Lovers can meet wherever they like and whenever they wish.
Also, your context has a clue on what the word "barn" probably means.
It says, "Meet me down the garden path at the barn at 7"
So, the "garden path" is a clue which supports my supposition. That is because the garden path and the barn are supposed to lie next to each other, or the path leading to the barn. You have a house, a garden, a barn - to make an integrated home in the countryside.
So, what is the problem in using the word barn as indicating Hatheerah? Nothing, I think. |

Explanation:
It may be that she's just meeting her date IN FRONT of the barn before going wherever. Also, judging by the movies, many a romantic encounter does take place in the barn!

So it doesn't necessarily have to house animals, it may just be used for the storage of equipment, also grains etc.
