I know what it means (a few firms dominate the market), but would the Arabic be شبه احتكاري. The context is:
"...he considers a world economy populated with

احتكار فئوي

Explanation:
oligopoly = احتكار فئوي
oligopolistic producers = عصبة من المنتجين الاحتكاريين

Notice that "oligopoly" does not essentially differ from "monopoly." The difference is merely in the presence of multiple dominating firms rather than one, but the multiplicity is incidental. It is not an essential ingredient that affects the practice.

For the translator, this means that while it is important to make sure that the market domination is clearly identified as being exercised by multiple agents, it is not necessary to use the same adjective+noun construction used in the source text, because the adjective does not indicate anything above and beyond the number being more than one.
