4 hrs متوالية (mutwaliyeh), متوالية تنازلية (mutwaliyeh tanazuiyeh)
Explanation: I might be doing some speculation here, but I am assuming that you are referring to an algebraic series, namely a progression (e.g. a geometric progression) where each value is smaller than the preceding ones, if my premise is wrong, you may want to throw the rest of this away, otherwise, here goes:
A progression in Arabic is متوالية, and I believe the term holds regardless of whether it is increasing or decreasing. So a geometric progression for example is متوالية هندسية(mutwaliyeh handassiyeh). Now, I do not have any Arabic math books handy, but I believe that qualifying the term as متوالية تنازلية indicates that it is a decreasing series.
Under other contexts, the other suggestions of taraju' تراجع, nukwus نكوص, and taraddi تردِّ (without ي ya` in the end), etc. are fine. I would also add taqahqur تقهقر, and qahqara قهقرى, but I am not sure that this meaning of falling back is the most suitable, although the suggestion of "ittirad taraju`i إطراد تراجعي" is quite eloquent, even if it sounds like an oxymoron. It is probably one of the best alternatives you have.
In any case, some more explanation may help us all.

22 hrs INHIDAR انحدار
Explanation: The context, though skimpy, clearly points to statistical mathematics, where “regression analysis” is commonly used in cost estimating, the social sciences, and many other applications. Definitions of regression and regression analysis abound. Here is one example:
http://users.erols.com/scea/glossary_r.htm
“REGRESSION ANALYSIS: The statistical association of one or more independent variables with a dependent variable. Under static conditions the Analysis is called Correlation. When used for predictive purposes, it is referred to as regression. The relationships in a regression analysis are associative only; causative inferences are added subjectively by the analyst.”
Needless to say, regression analysis is now mostly performed by computers.
The Arabic term for “regression is INHIDAR انحدار.
Here is an excerpt from an essay where the term is immediately followed by its translation. The essay is by Dr. Uthman AlSalloom, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia:
