حقيقة لا أرى داعياً لوجود "اضطراب" نهائيا، ولا "إلى أي مدى" ، ليس هذا مكانهما
لأن هذا الأسلوب به من الأخطاء الدلالية ما به

Sam is right. We should not lower our Arabic standards to the أحسيت level. You have to tell that clinician to keep his hands off the Arabic language, otherwise we would start treating patients.

Salam the two terms are nearly equivalent, if you consider the common usage, they are interchangeable, the word شعرت is commonly used by all Arabs, if i am not mistaken.

I agree with Sam here, and I want to ask you a question sam that you might be able to solve the problem,
do you think (احسست) is for something like (touch)? like touchable things or when someone taste things? if so, then I would go for (شعرت) cause ....

يا أخ إيهاب .. إذا المستعربة "الخواجية" مثلي تستطيع أن تكتب بالعربية فإن لزوم النزول بها إلى مستوى العامة يعني إفلاسها ،، وهاك مني فلسان يا حاج طنطاوي عسي ينفعونك في الذود عن المصححين :-)

that is easy to be taken by the different huma culture, and to be understood more easily by them, so it is better to make it a standard arabic but close to the dialect, so I would go for (احسست) which is close for (حسيت) , though (zkt) is ...

Yes Sam, it is for Egyptian public. But I am afraid to go down with the Arabic language to reach with it to the colloquial version. Actually I am so confused to select the best way for that, I am trying to add a moderate version to be relevant for any patient either Average or High readers. You 2 Cents Sam??

على رأي عبده :-) "أحسيت" دي على وزن إيه بالضبط وبأي لهجة ؟؟ "أحسيت" زي "أستحميت" ولا إيه؟ هي "حسيت" بالعامية و"أحسست" بالفصحى وكلاهما أضعف من "تكرر شعورك" بكذا أو ذاك

the standad arabic is (شعرت و احسست) both of them are fine, it is just that sometimes when you want to direct the question to patient who might me an engineer or teacher or he also might be a (farmer), so it is better to use a word that is easy to be ....

Is the questionnaire aiming at the Egyptian public? If yes, I would go for أحسست because it is so close to the colloquial حسيت.
