Greetings to you all.

Unfortunately, I do not have any further illustrative note of the above term other than that it comes in an MSDS context.

I would like to know what "discriminating" means in Arabic medical/MSDS jargon.

Avoiding guesswork would be highly appreciated.

Discriminating dose: A (single) dose of an insecticide that kills 99 per cent of all susceptible individuals of a particular species. Discriminating dose results are used to find out the frequency of resistant pests in the population.

Asker: أستاذنا الكريم شاذلي الحاضر دائماً حقيقة،"جرعة تمييزية" كانت أولى البدائل التي وردت في ذهني قبل إرسال السؤال، لكني أعرضت عنها تحسباً لاحتمال وجود بديل آخر أدق أو -إن شئت قل- أكثر شيوعاً. وللأسف، لم أجد موقعاً واحداً على الانترنت يؤصل لأية ترجمة من أي نوع للمصطلح محل السؤال. أمَا وقد اتفقنا جميعاً على استخدام "تمييزية"، فلتكن "تمييزية"..أشكر لكم هذه المشاركة الطيبة

disagree  ali2203: you have to write تقنية التمييز بالجرعة. وهي جرعة أو مركز يقضي على كل (أو على الأقل) المجموعات الضعيفة ويخلي سبيل المجموعات المقاومة ، وتستعمل هذه التقنية في تحديد نسبة المجموعات المنتمية إلى كل نمط جيني، وتستعمل كذلك في تحليل نتائج الجينات العابرة

في علم التحاليل الجرثومية وهي جرعة أو مْركز يقضي على كل (أو على الأقل) المجموعات الضعيفة ويخلي سبيل المجموعات المقاومة ، وتستعمل هذه التقنية في تحديد نسبة المجموعات المنتمية إلى كل نمط جيني، وتستعمل كذلك في تحليل نتائج الجينات العابرة وأخير تستعمل هذه التقنية في برامج التشخيص المجالي ,والصحيح هو تقنية التمييز أو التشخيص بالجرعة حسب نوعية النص طبي وكيميائي أو فيزيائي (راجع Davidson 1960, Pouch and Miller 1986)

Asker: عزيزي محمد أشكر لك هذا التحليل الرائع الذي يصب في صلب الموضوع. وراودتني فكرة استخدام ترجمتك المقترحة، غير أن النص ذاته به عبارة أخرى تحتوي التعبير "تقنية التمييز بالجرعة". وأغلب ظني أن في سياق "صحف بيانات السلامة" أو السياق التقني لابد من الالتزام بدقة النص وأحياناً حرفيته كي لا نقحم بالنص ما ليس فيه. نعم هي تقنية لكن النص-للأسف- أورد عبارة أخرى بها كلمة "تقنية" صريحةً جزيل الشكر والتقدير لمساهمتك
