Please resubmit your query Explanation: Sorry, I don't know Arabic. However, I do know French and the text you request help with is in French, not English. To insure that you get proper help with it, please resubmit your query with FRENCH as the source language. The meaning of your text in English would be: mucosal sensations From Termium, muqueurses : English:Anatomy of the Digestive Tract Anatomy of the Respiratory System mucosal s CORRECT,ADJ DEF - Pertaining to the mucous membrane. s 1987-08-18 hth Yolanda Broad ProZ Moderator, French to English [email protected] Reference: http://www.termium.com |

تَهَيُّج العشاء المخاطي المبطِّن للفم Explanation: First, thanks to ybroad for directing the asker to post the question under the correct language pair. The answer given above is pronounced: TAHAYYUJ AL-GHISHA’ AL-MUKHATIYY AL-MUBATTIN LIL-FAM It literally means, “irritation of the mucous lining of the mouth.” I chose this non-literal approach because the context you posted reads like a user-friendly text, possibly directed to the patient, the parents (if the user is a child, which is often the case), or to the general public. It is not heavily technical in style. For that reason I would advise avoiding such monstrous expressions as AL-IHSASAT AL-GHASHAWIYYA الاحساسات الغشوية or, God forbid, AL-IHSASAT AL-MUKHATIYYA الاحساسات المخاطيّة ...although such expressions might be deemed more "accurate." This is the approach we use at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center when we translate patient teaching/patient education material. I think your client will appreciate your stylistic sensitivity.
