اعتقد ياسر يجب التمييز بين:
bath ويقصد به الحمام للأغراض العامة وshower:
- bath = حمام وبالتالي تكون ترجمة can i take a shower? هل يمكني استخدام الحمام بصفة عامة.
-shower = الفعل = taking a shower = الاستحمام أي اغتسال الجسد.

Explanation:
I suggest using
هل يمكننى أن اغتسل اغتسالاً كاملاً؟ (بما يعني بالماء والصابون وربما الشامبو)
with "Can I take a bath"
while using
هل يمكننى أن اغتسل بالماء فقط؟ (أو اقتصاراً على الماء فقط؟)
with "Can I take a shower?

أعتقد أنه يتوجب عليك إضافة عبارة
بالماء والصابون
لأن التمييز القائم بين (باث) و (شاور) في الإنجليزية غير موجود على نحو دقيق في اللغة العربية، لذا لا أجد غضاضة في إضافة هذه العبارة المهمة، هذا بالإضافة بالطبع إلى المعنى الذي تضيفه عبارة "اغتسالاً كاملاً"
